I made a terrific discovery at the Cole Porter Festival—an attractive and very talented couple from the Chicago area whom I had not been aware of before. Matt Gruel is…a talented pianist who can sing. His wife Cynthia is a knockout performer with a very powerful voice…They did a set at the Miami County Museum…and another at the main weekend event…including the best rendition of “Miss Otis Regrets” I’ve ever heard and the best Porter Song rendition of the weekend. It’s so encouraging to find younger performers who are so into this kind of music and appreciate the history as well. I’ll be seeing more of them in the Chicago area, and I suspect many of you will be too!

Originally, Cynthia and Matt were known for their “Festive Singers” program, which our Carol Stream Belmont Village has booked every year for our Holiday Open House. We were so excited when Nostalgia Entertainment expanded their repertoire to include more shows that showcase the talents and professionalism of Cynthia and Matt. Our residents enjoy Nostalgia Entertainment programs and ask, "When are they coming back?"
